Q. Lets get the general question out of the way - what makes
Kanoodle.com stand out with so many other PPC engines around?
Kanoodle.com is a Pay-Per-Click Search engine specializing in driving traffic to middle market engines. We reach the billions of people who search on engines other than the top 4. We have affiliations with over 2,500 search enabled sites. Kanoodle.com emphasizes not only the quality and volume of our traffic, but also our outstanding customer service and state -of-the-art technology.
Q. It seems like the move to a minimum of 5 cents a click went
quite smootheless. What can you attribute this too?
Our clients are pleased with the quality and volume of their results, and were eager to continue with Kanoodle regardless of the slight price increase for minimum bidding.
Q. While some competitors now generally hide the amount actually
bid on keywords, you guys have kept showing yours. Has there been
advertiser pressure to remove the cost, and if so, how was it dealt
with? Have you considered making it unlisted unless specificly
requested for?
Actually, since receipt of this email we have changed this feature. The bid amount is no longer shown, and listings are noted as "sponsored listing".
Q. While most other companies backfill with not so relevant
results, you guys are actually using Google directly. Have you found
this to be a strong magnet for publishers that wish to both make
money while providing relevant searches?
Google provides the best algorithmic solution available today. We feel that Kanoodle's list provides our end users with the best available commercial results enabling them to quickly find the product or solution that they may be looking for. Google's results provides the other half, or more informational websites that may appease the users query. Grouping the two together make Kanoodle the perfect search solution for our end users and affiliates.
Q. From what I have heard, quite a few other small PPC search
engines use you as a backfill. Do you see your company as having a
great relationship with the smaller companies, and do you do
anything special to facilitate such a relationship?
We have a rather simple policy towards ALL of our relationships. Keep 'em happy. This is a very simple philosophy that we remind ourselves of every day. While there are many aspects to providing a strong value proposition, we do all we can to make sure all of our partners, big or small, are proud to be partnered with Kanoodle.com.
Q. Kanoodle used to reward the top 3 bidders with a share of
banner impressions. With no banners now, is it safe to presume that
is no longer the deal? How popular was this with webmasters? Are the
88x31s on the side of listings popular with webmasters?
Since its launch in 1999, Kanoodle has provided its advertisers with free banner impressions. This has always been an excellent and popular program that Kanoodle still employs today. Currently , the only banners that you will see on Kanoodle, are given away free to our advertisers.
The Logo banners have been very successful. Our client participation has been growing since the day we launched the program as it provides that extra graphical touch to the clients listing. Typically, our clients realize the value upon launch and will maintain and incorporate the program into all future campaigns.
Q. As the market continues to grow, with kanoodle also growing
quite well, are there any future developments that you may give us
the word on? How many searches are generated on kanoodle per month?
We are now generating close to 1 billion searches a month. With this increase in traffic we are growing rapidly. In the past six months we have added 4 people to our relevancy team, and looking to add several new positions in It and business development.
